About Our Camps

Girls Inc. of York Region provide girls and families in and around York Region with a variety of options when it comes to Camps! This includes: PA Day Camps, March Break Camp, Leader In Training (LIT) Camp, and our Summer Camps!

Our Camps are developed with the same goal as our programs; we actively strive to enhance confidence and self-esteem, while giving campers the skills and tools they need in order to reach their full capacities. Each year, our camps provide children and youth a chance to participate in fun, safe, and supervised activities, in which they may not have had the opportunity to experience.

Our Staff are trained individuals, passionate in helping girls reach their full potential. We have specific training in the Community Service Field, along with High Five certification, and First Aid/CPR Level C. Girls Inc.’s programming focuses on the development of the whole girl, and includes activities that are specific to girls’ needs. We ensure the programs are fun and diverse, and include different forms of facilitation to keep the girls interested and engaged.

Girls Inc. Summer Camp 2020 is OPEN for Registration! We are so excited that we are be able to offer this opportunity, and that we have best practices in place to keep girls, staff, and families safe during this challenging time. Please review these guidelines below.

This year is going to be very different from previous years, and we appreciate your enthusiasm as you take this journey with us. Girls Inc. of York Region strives to provide girls a safe space, and this year is no exception! Our staff have worked hard on planning camps that are fun and interactive, despite the requirements of social distancing and inability to incorporate trips. These activities includes: DIY crafts, hands on experiments, virtual guests, local trips*, and much more!

Camp spots will be LIMITED. Spots will not be reserved until payment is received. Subsidies are available. Ratios will be significantly reduced (1:4) and reviewed after Week 2.
The camp will take place primarily outdoors at our office (460 Davis Dr., Newmarket ON).
We will have a large tent, fans, water, and ice available. On rainy days, we will require campers remain home, and a virtual program will be facilitated.

We cannot wait to see everyone again!
